Travel Diaries: Las Vegas – Day Three
It’s time to go home. Day three in Las Vegas and I feel like I’ve been thrown into the eye of a glitzy storm and come out on the other side a tad bit tired but sated with good food, great entertainment and more bright lights than I can count. I actually can’t imagine spending 48 hours in a place with any more razzle dazzle than Las Vegas, but then again, that’s the whole point of Las Vegas it seems.

Travel Diaries: Las Vegas – Day Two
It’s always the eighth or twentieth drink that kills you, wouldn’t you agree? I’m already worse for the wear as a result of my visit. The Las Vegas Gay Pride Festival is taking place today and I had planned to go, but before I could take two steps outside the lobby doors of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel a wave of heat overcame me, leading me to decide to show my pride in true gay fashion by spending the day shopping… INDOORS!

Travel Diaries: Las Vegas – Day One
Touchdown Las Vegas! Day one and I'm on my way to Las Vegas for a weekend excursion. Before this day is over I will have survived a bubbly gaggle of bachelorette party revelers, nibbled on Pan Asian cuisine, sampled a decadent snack while enjoying a classic Vegas sextravaganza, dined on 'stacked' surf & turf, downed copious amounts of vodka and mingled on a dancefloor or two. My, my what a difference twelve short hours can make in one's life.

Key West’s Quirky Charm
At the end of a 126-mile long highway that travels over
42 bridges, 100 islands and three National Historic Sites,
Key West really is the end of the road. I was introduced to
the singular charms of this lesbian and gay-adored
resort town at a splendidly out-of-season Key West
New Year party in Miami. Key West made a great first
impression.

South Beach Warms, Welcomes Gay Travelers
Thanks in large part to gay designers including Gianni
Versace and others with a similar fiscal orientation,
South Beach has come full circle in recent years. The
art deco hotels that line South Beach's Ocean Drive
are now highly prized by visitors who want to stay in the
middle of it all.

Can New Orleans Stage a Comeback?
What does it say about the 'state of our union' when
Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt,
Oprah Winfrey and Rosie O’Donnell
not only talk more about the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina,
but do more for the ailing city of New Orleans than our
commander-in-chief? Not a whole lot in my estimation.
Despite being largely ignored by the Bush Administration,
New Orleans seems set on re-inventing itself and reclaiming
its former glory.

Beat a Hasty Retreat to Some Winter Heat
If you’re Gay or Lesbian and you need to ask the
'California or Florida' question at the mention of Palm
Springs, than you’ve (obviously) never had the pleasure of
visiting our amazing community in the Southern California
Desert; otherwise, you’d already know the answer. Secondly,
if you haven’t been here, you’re in grave danger of
having your 'Gay Card' revoked.

While playing pool in the nude may get you thrown out of

Finding Truth in Sedona
These days Sedona, Arizona is more famous than ever, its
natural beauty and quirkiness the subject
of endless articles and TV features. One would think that a
place as beautiful and famous as Sedona would be teeming
with celebrities, right? That visitors can expect to rub
shoulders with the rich, famous and infamous at local coffee
shops and bistros? Wrong. Very wrong.

Las Vegas Bets on Gay Visitors
America's city of lights has long had a well-deserved
reputation for its over-the-top heterosexuality. But the
love that dare not speak its name has remained mostly hidden
in plain sight amid the glitz and glamour that put Vegas on
the map. But despite its low profile gay community, Las
Vegas has long been a favorite destination for gay
travelers.

Aspire to a La Quinta Vacation
Known as 'The Gem of The Desert' and
sparkling
with endless vacation potential, La Quinta is one
of Southern California’s idyllic spots that tend to incite
jealousy, or at least fervent admiration, among
non-Californians. At any rate, it’s a great place to visit,
so consider stopping by if you’re ready for some
high-quality, west coast-style rest and relaxation.
